Online Learning Summit – New offering!

Friday, February 18th, 2011

In recent years, K-12 online learning has grown substantially and is poised to continue to experience growth in the future.  ACSA, CUE, and TICAL believe online learning is such a crucial topic that we are offering a special low-fee, full-day program on April 14 open to everyone registered for the Symposium.

Participants who choose to attend will join leaders in the field of online and blended learning for a dialogue related to the national landscape of K-12 online learning including key trends and implications for California, as well as key issues to consider when starting or managing online and blended learning in your district.  More information to follow!

Keynote speaker Yong Zhao

Dr. Yong Zhao’s keynote address at last year’s symposium drew a thunderous, standing ovation from the audience and many requests that we ask him back for 2011.  We’re happy to announce that we did, and he accepted.

Last year Dr. Zhao spoke on the topic “American Education in the Age of Globalization.”  This year he’ll expand on that theme with a specific focus on technology’s role as we restructure schooling.
