Lead 3 Symposium Cancellation
After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus) overseas and in the United States, the Lead 3 Conveners (ACSA, CITE, CUE & TICAL) have decided not to hold the 2020 Lead 3 Symposium in Sacramento, CA - April 2-4, 2020.

The Lead 3 Conveners have been monitoring the coronavirus situation with the health, safety, and well-being of our guests in mind and have arrived at this difficult decision after gathering information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the California State Department of Health, the Sacramento County Department of Public Health, and other public health authorities.
We urge those who were planning to attend Lead 3 cancel their travel arrangements. The host hotel, Hyatt Regency Sacramento, will cancel any hotel reservations booked using the Lead 3 reservation link, so there is no need to contact the hotel. If you booked your own hotel outside of the block, please contact that hotel and request a cancellation.
2020 Lead 3 registration fees will be fully refunded. You will receive an email confirming your refund has been processed by the end of March.
We ask for your patience as we work diligently to address questions and provide additional information to our planned participants and guests. Stay tuned for information on the 2021 Lead 3 Symposium and we wish you all the best in this difficult time.

About

History

The Leadership 3 Symposium is a collaborative effort of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA), CUE, California IT in Education (CITE), and Technology Information Center for Administrative Leadership (TICAL). It is truly “for administrators, by administrators.” Three organizations, one mission – Educational Leadership for the 21st century.
In 2015, Lead 3 became the flagship Future Ready CA event, in partnership with the broader Future Ready effort.
Picture
Close to 200 superintendents, principals, technology leaders, and other district leaders attended the inaugural event in 2008, drawing from locations as far-flung as Arkansas, Australia and China. Despite the economic woes of 2009, attendance remained steady. Participation grew in 2010 and, in 2011, response was so great we had to cap registration to keep from exceeding the capacity of our meeting space. The 2014 Symposium drew a record 275 participants. The two-and-a-half day event features keynote presentations, concurrent sessions and several pre-conference workshops and seminars. The Symposium continues to grow each year and reviews continue to rave about the presenters and topics, praising  the size of the event and ability to get a seat at every session they attend - they also note they even have time to speak to the presenters after the session.

One attendee described it as:
…a visionary conference for administrators which supports and celebrates our journey into the future as we seek to educate students for their future.
